You can wait for about 5-10 minutes while it 'clears' out then roll it over without pumping the gas....

Another one I've seen 'shadetree' mechanics use is opening the choke and throttle plate and sticking a long screwdriver to block the assemblies open thus letting everything 'vent' (some even 'blow' into the manifold adding more 'air' to the fuel....

Another old trick is to leave your foot floored on the gas pedal (don't pump, just push to the floor and leave it there), then crank the engine over until it lights (if very flooded you may have to wait, it won't crank over, or your battery may give up...)

The 'worst' way to ever do it:

Is to pull the coil wire, and all your spark plugs and roll it over for 10 seconds....it'll clear everything out of your cylinder bores, but you'll also have some nasty gas all over the engine bay, along with a major fire hazard. Please don't try that one at home!

Good luck,

-D.Idiot
