Anyone have a preference on which type of carpet to get? Cut pile or the loop? Not worried about anything original and I will likely get the heavier backing on it. I was looking at Summit ( because I can talk to an actual person) but if you have a good supplier let me know. Not buying from Rock auto, because a human does not exist there. :D :D

I have ordered this stuff from many different sources over the years. Can't say I've seen much difference. Year One and Classic Industries has this stuff now and it's usually around the same price as other places.

I'll ask my upholstery guy this week because I'll be dropping the Coupe off for interior work. He has tons of supplier books and knowledge.

I still have the red carpet (pile, IIRC) from a certain wrecked yellow/orange 64 Valiant. It was new and I think it's in good shape. Yours if you want it!

It seems like pretty much all of the decent original-style molded carpets for older American cars are made by ACC, no matter which outlet is selling them.

I bought a very original-appearing ACC carpet for my '64 from RockAuto, as their price was significantly better than others.
It was drop-shipped to me from the ACC factory.

edit: It's ACC, not ACS. Auto Custom Carpet. Duh.
I need an editor.

Just a little update. I talked to the folks that Dan linked to ( Stock Interiors) and it turns out they are just reselling the Auto Custom Carpets sets. It is funny that they were over $100 cheaper than buying direct from ACC. In the end it looks like most of the sets are from ACC. I ended up getting mine from Rock Auto without any troubles. I have it in the house getting warmed up and tucked back into shape. Guess it is time to get the garage and get to work. Thanks
