I want to add fender mounted turn signal indicators to a couple cars. Anybody have any complete sets they would sell?

A few days ago someone over on FABO had a set but they seemed a little "rich"

Might be available new, inexpensive and decent quality, out of Mexico. I've got an enquiry in; will squawk once I have a reply.

Which Style are you looking for? the '68'69 "bullet" Style?
~'70-'71 Body color painted ones or the ~'72-'79 Chrome body ones?

I may be able to get some, but I have no Idea on the condition of them right now.

Basically I am just looking for a matched pair to go on my 76 D100 truck. I think the 72-79s have a flatter base and would work better on truck fenders, but if the late 60s bullet style were flat enough I wouldn't say no. I like chrome, too. :D

Dan, do let me know! Looks like new reproduction units are sold through resto parts outlets for $250-$400 a pair, too much for me. I am eyeballing a couple sets on eBay with lousy chrome and cut wiring, and even those sets aren't cheap.

Yeah, no, the ones I'm thinking of are chromed plastic-housing reproductions of quite decent quality for driver vehicles, very affordable, and if I recall correctly they take a common 168 or W5W bulb rather than those hard-to-get weird micro-mini metal-base bulbs some of the originals use.

I'm game for cheap plastic! Let me know! I'm not building a show car.

......speaking of the turn signal indicators, anyone ever have a car with the Fuel Economy Minder?
Drivers side indicator would glow if you put your foot into the gas tank.

Yes, We had a few go through Dad's Lot.

1975 Dodge Charger with a 360-2 BBl.. it is still sitting there! Likely has not moved/run in 35+ years.

I remember going on a family vacation in that car around 1987-1989.

Also We sold a 1975 Dodge Dart with the option. It was a 318-2 Bbl Car

Not sure how many model years the fuel pacer option was offered? Maybe Just '75-'76?

I had the fuel minder option on a 74 Valiant once. Just a vacuum switch that lit up the left fender-top turn signal. I think it was a one or two year only feature, like the seat belt ignition interlock.

Asking Prices for these on ebay are pretty insane. I sold a complete set of lenses, chrome, wiring and screws to a local guy here a few years ago for ~$40 if I remember correctly.

I buffed up the chrome pretty good. I will see if I can get a set this weekend (fingers crossed)

These are the ones I have in mind. Price translates to $10.25/pair USD. Still waiting to hear back from my dude.

…and my dude just ponged, but the news ain't good:

Hi Dan,

Yes they are available, however, I cannot send any packages from Mexico to the US or Canada.

They are working out the tariff thing.

Please ask again in the future to see if they have settled that.

It has really put a kink in my business.

Thanks

Miguel

Arrrrrgh! I can understand no parcels to the USA, oh, yes, I can; the tariffs have made importing anything an unnecessarily slow, unnecessarily expensive guessing game because the rules change at random and frequently. But no parcels to Canada? WTAF, eh‽ The Government of Canada is not throwing tariff-tantrums, so I don't get it.
