:D I got my flyer in the mail today. The Fall 2003 meet of the Slant Six Club of America will be held on Sunday, September 21st at Uncle Curley's Famous Hamburgers in Kenmore, WA. 6774 NE 181st St.

registration-- $5 per car, car will be judged for fun. (Trust me, I was a judge one year)

------------------

Barring some unforseen accident, I plan on attending and I will even have a slant six powered vehicle to drive! Yay! No more parking the Ford van across the parking lot and and trying to sneak up without being noticed.

Lets try and get a bunch of folks out to this one. I know there are around 20 or so Seattle area folks on this board (plus probably a few more lurkers) so I don't want the total turnout at this meet to be 12 people!

See you there!

Beat me to it Reed! The Kenmore show last year had a good turn out, hope its better than the Steel Lake show this year. I knew there was a reason I waxed the car this weekend (besides the fact its supposed to rain this week)..... :D

I'll see you there Eric! I tried buffing out my Cordoba but the paint on this thing is shot. Thats okay though, the interior is nice and it runs like a top.

I can't wait to see how your engine bay is coming along!

:? Hmmm, anyone actually going to make it this year besides me and Eric? Just being quiet and going to surprise us at the meet? I think it would be kind of cool if we got a caravan going out to this place of all the online slanters. I am coming up from Tacoma so I could meet up with folks who live south of Seattle and we could all arrive together. Just a thought.

I can't bring my car, but I'll see if I can at least drop by. How many cars are expected?

The number of cars can't really be predicted. sometimes there is just five but sometimes more than 20. Hope to see you there!

:D

I decided to sneak up there and see what the Washington crowd was like and there was a pretty good turn out.

Hats off to some of our best board members, it was awesome getting to meet all of you. A great day to cap off my summer.

I had fun, and it was cool to put a face and car to the name for: Reed, Bud L., Jon Class, Eric W, Zorg, kesteb (anybody I'm forgetting? those 4 hour drives can really take a toll on one's sanity when you're locked up in a Duster doing 35 mph for 60 miles in 'rush hour' traffic....)

anyhow, we definately have to try and get some Oregon guys up north, and some Washington guys down south during the summer just to mix it up....

Thanks DI! Today's meet was a blast! lots of nice folks showed up and I finally got to meet some people I have "known" online for awhile now. DI's Hyper-Duster is amazing! I have a bunch of pitures to post, I am just waiting for moparpages to confirm them before I can.

I took home the "Best Super Late Model" award :P

I'll post a more detailed report with puctures as soon as I can.
