Post subject:  Cooler auto transmission ports on an aftermarket copper radiator

I bought a copper 22" radiator out of a 74 Dodge Dart for my 65 Valiant. It's a reproduction from a company called GDI or GoDan Industries that is long gone. It's very well made. I want to use the auto transmission cooler lines that are ported at the bottom. It looks like they measure 3/8 but not totally sure what to try and buy. They are likely NPT thread. Does anyone know what I should buy for these ports? I'd like a basic nipple to clamp the hose on to. Thanks for any help.

Being it is a copper radiator (reproduction), it could have either. 5/16 inverted flair or 1/8 npt. Either way you should be able to find the fitting you need at a local part store.
They are most likely 1/8 inch pipe thread. Just get a couple of 1/8 NPT to barb fittings. Probably 5/16 barb, but could be 3/8 barb. use a small amount of pipe sealer on the threads and don't over tighten the fitting into the radiator.
PS: That radiator will not be a "drop in" fit.
