Post subject:  Stand Pipe, Yes or No?

I haven't run a pump with a stand pipe in a long time.
The 76 Dart Lite had one and I am wondering about using it on the new pump.
Any opinions?

Take it off and use an oil filter with the standpipe built in.

I belive SlantSixDan knows the part#'s for such things, or you can use the search function.

I have done both using a standpipe amd also just running the threaded nub in the base of the oil pump.

I would not be afraid to run it in a normal engine. High performance, high rpm then no. It does cause some restriction.

51806 I think is the Wix number?

Yes that is what I run too. 51806 has the built in standpipe.
