I am looking to get more HP from my 1966 170 engine. currently have sequential fuel injection, oversized valves in a super 6 port matched head. A racer brown CCS -190 cam (duration 190 degrees@050,107 degrees lobe separation). the exhaust is a stock manifold with 2.25 inch exhaust all the way out. Would a dutra exhaust manifolds make a noticeable improvement? Not sure what my current compression ratio is. I would like it to be 9-9.5. I just had it dynotuned and rwhp was only 85. The injection is a megasquirt ms3.

Did you measure the combustion chambe volumm? If not, When the head work was done, was the head milled?
I would start by dong a compression check, to make sure the engine is in good "basic" condition.

A 190 degree @ .050 is only @ 4 degrees longer than a stock camshaft so that is pretty small.

Yep, that is a stock cam. Please say what is your induction too - intake, carb, tuning on that?
