Just checking to make sure all the racers are still around. No posts in 10 days is pretty unusual !! I hope the recent rash of accidents hasn't made everyone retire !!

Talk to you soon,
Rick

Hey Possum, I've just been busy working. I was supposed to go to a track day for one of my car clubs today, but since I had the chance to work I took it. I'm also considering getting rid of the red car because I think we might get the Duster finished this winter.

They have my back patched together with bubble gum and baling wire for now. I will eventually have to have surgery. :(

I'm not sure how fast the Duster wil be next year, but it will have a brake and probably a box in it.

Thanks for "breaking the silence" Rick,
Seems like after the last SSRN race, all the Slant racers just "scattered".

Dennis, Good to hear the back is "manageable", I know how back pain goes, it really slows me down when it happens.

For me, I'm still "digging out" from two totalled cars. We got the Mini Van stripped and hauled-off last week. Now it's time to part-out the Cuda. The chassis is pretty tweaked so I think my time is better spent getting the parts swapped onto something straight.
I will have to "make hay" to put together and dial-in a new car before Las Vegas in March.

But....distractions come from everywhere. Had to fix the damn toilet yesterday, (I hate plumbing) and I have a lead on a 61 Valiant wagon and parts that needs a new home, Oh got to get some parts shipped-out and Halloween is coming-up fast. (Trick or Treats  )

I'm still here. Spent the last few weeks dialing the Simca back for Hot Rod class at the IHRA World Finals this weekend in Rockingham.
I broke out in the 1st round with a 10.869. The air down there was like a mineshaft. (-1200 DA this morning) We had turned the boost back to 6 pounds but the car just wanted to run! Should have entered Super Rod instead.

Got a re-scheduled ACBS race in November at Darlington and then that is it. Time to put a little effort into another project now that winter has arrived. :D

Hey Bagel we went 7.93 today on racing fuel the car picked up a 1/10 that would mean sbout 7.83 at any other track we race besides Bristol. The racing fuel also burns cooler in the engine. Im trying to get all the data for pryromter readings because i think this is the best way to tune the carb for jet size. Hell bagel i could run all of them bamboozlers but im a footbrake man i aint smart enuff for them. But i have seen them bamboozlers blow up in them fast cars and it aint pretty. :D :D

I know its hard Bagel but a footbrake can beat a transDrake
