Hey Folks,

I just visited Firmfeel.com, and they have some nice looking new stuff listed. Tubular sway bars w/ Heim joints, lowered LCAs, and some other stuff. I plan on talking to them on the phone soon to get prices and talk tech with them.

The lowered LCAs look interesting, but I'm not sure how they might affect roll center and other such geometries at this point. Drop spindles should not affect these things, but lowered LCAs may.

Those guys know what they are doing.

I've been there once, to inquire about having a steering box rebuilt/ change the ratio on the car, and they said I could even just drop the car off and they'd rebuild it and install everything too...

They aren't too far up the road from me, gotta get some $$$ so I can get some parts from their candy store...

I hope to call the guy today if I get time. It seems to me that a modified LCA must change the suspension geometry dramatically. Hopefully he'll have some calculations for me... :)

I've purchased from them several times. They are good guys and race Mopars, so they are very familiar with their products. In fact, I just talked to Dick yesterday about the quick ratio Pitman/Idler arms and poly leaf spring bushings I had ordered. Very easy guys to deal with and very knowledgeable.

I've worked with Dick Ross for several years developing parts. He has some good stuff and a lot of experience. He is one of the only guys making early A body stuff so if you have one of them, you might give him a call and talk about big anti-sway bars and such.

yeah, too bad he won't sell the fast ratio worm gear for the manual steering chuck anymore. i guess there's more money in selling complete units since anybody can build one, but not without the cool parts. guess i should have started my own company. good thing mp still sells their 20:1 deal.

I've heard nothing but good things about these guys, and have been recommending them for about a year, now.

I've had GREAT luck working with Scott Vadnias. I've bought lots of parts from him. He seems to really know what he's thaking about. And he's friendly. It's best to contact him at:

I meant to mention that I bought my steering gear from Scott. I bought the gasket and seal kit from FirmFeel.

While I'm at it. I've been thinking about a complete suspension/chassis redo/upgrade. I know some of you guys run Willwood brakes. I've been looking at the Stainless Steel Brake products and FirmFeel has brake/ suspension stuff. I'm sure there are others. I'd appriciate some discussion of the various options.

Mike

Probably best to start a new post for the brake question. There are 4 or 5 off the shelf options and then some semi-custom setups are possible.
