Are the back of these supposed to recline? I found an early 70's valiant brougham in the yard with buckets, but the base only moved forward and back I couldn't get the backsupport to tilt. I thought it would though because there appears to be a hinge on the side. |

There were a few types of these, I'd love to find a recliner set for a Duster...(boy that'd be $$$$, sure would be a lot more fun at a drive-in...)... The late ones have a button on the side like the 1973 2-door buckets, except the button reclines them instead of unlatching them to let someone in the back. I have seen some 4 door seats that were factory modified 2 door seats ('pinned/latched') too. -D.Idiot |

Interesting. These had a lever on the outside of the seat that allowed it to move back and forth. What also caught my eye was it had a third seat in the middle of the buckets. It had a fold down backrest. I believe it also had its own seatbelts. That brougham interior was sweet and plush. The doorpanels had a pocket on the bottom made out of carpet. I'm not talking carpet like interor car carpet, I'm talking like thick enough to be used on the inside of your house. I believe it may of been a 73, it had the same standard dash as my 71 duster except for the addition of the seatbelt warning light. |
