I seem to have a miss at idle that dissapears sometimes. Everything on motor is new, carb, distributor, cap, rotor, wires, and plugs. The vehicle runs fine while being driven. Checked for vaccum leaks. I am new to slant sixes, but have worked on everything in the past. Worked on it this afternoon and found a dead plug. They are Autolite OEM replacements and only a week old. Any suggestions for plugs Not sure about coil now, reading specs said something about single pickup. I have a dual pickup distributor. Any suggestions on this

If it were me I would check the valve adjustment. My 75 dart had a rough idle until I adjusted the valves, then no more skip.

Make sure the wires are firmly attached to the distributor cap and the plugs. If a wire is loose, that plug will not fire and it'll appear as a fouled plug. Look and see if the wire terminal on the plug that wasn't firing has a carbon build up on it.
