Anyone install them on a early A body with a clutch ?
I thought everything was good but, the 4-5-6 headers it pointing directly at my "z" bar. I need to face it down more.
Can I bend this with a tube bender? Or heat it with a torch? Is it going to have to be the cut and re-weld method? Any other suggestions I'm not thinking about?
:? :x

These are Clifford "street rod" short runner headers, right?
You could always take them off and return them to Clifford for a replacement set that fits.
At this point you may want to take the car to a muffler shop and have them pull down on the collector while heating the individual tubes at critical places, to see if the collector will "shift" lower, at least enough to route the pipe.

Seymour has these on his '62 V100 with a stick and he had to just bend that exh pipe (2" heapipe, I believe) sharply downward right off the collector. His car has run 13.90s, so I don't think you need to worry too much about flow.

I put a hydraulic clutch setup in mine, so that z-bar mess is not an issue on my '64 Dart.

thanks for the feedback. I'm gonna go down to the muffler guy tomorrow and see if he'll get me past the z bar, then I'll take it from there.
Hey Lou, who makes your hyd. clutch, Mcleod?

McLeod makes the kit for about $300, and it is easiest to order it through PAW.

Well I got the exhaust done at the shop. It fit nicely and I love the difference from the stock. I haven't finished with the carb, but I already can tell it's a little peppy.
How can I post a pic ? :?

Sounds sweet! Now I can't wait for my headers to get here... As for pictures, http://www.slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5252 should help. -zorg
