Tim,
Thanks for the info. Do you work at Fisher?
A lot of the Slant Six racers are using these, I have one and it works great.

Do you know if the P/N Fisher has for the Slant Six damper is the same as the Big Bolck Mopar? (383- 400-413-426-440)

HEY THERE DOC,
YES, I DO WORK AT FISHER'S, YES WE DO HAVE P/T#576307 THAT IS A MOPAR NUMBER FOR THE SLANT-6, BUT THAT UNIT DOES NOT HAVE PULLEYS ON IT SO YOU HAVE TO RUN A AFTERMARKET PULLEY. THAT DAMPER MAKES PULLEY ALINEMENT OFF ABOUT A 1 1/2 FORWARD.

OUR NEW PART # 374001 WILL BOLT ON WITH STOCK ALINEMENT AND HAVE PULLEY V GROOVES MACHINED IN THE HOUSING OF THE DAMPER.
COST IS RETAIL $431.00 JOBBER $325.00 BUT THERE IS ALWAYS ROOM TO PLAY

P/T 576465 ,576565 ,577506, ARE OTHER V8 MOPAR NUMBERS

Tim,

Are you saying that your new Slant Six damper has the pulley groove machined into it so you can use the stock belt location? I may be interested in one of those pretty soon.

Thanks,

Lou

Tim,
Thanks for the up-date and great work up-dating the Fisher Damper so it is more user friendly.
I had to do a good amount of bracket fab. and pulley relocation work to run a "V" belt on my "old" Fisher damper SL6 but it sounds like you now have this problem solved.
Does the new grooved damper have 1 or 2 belt grooves in it?

OK ,OUR DAMPER HAS TWO BELT GROOVES
THE ONE NEAREST THE ENGINE IS 5/8 BELT STOCK. CORRECT?
THEN THE SECOND BELT IS A 1/2 BELT THAT IS .650 FROM CENTER OF REAR PULLEY,
NOW IF THAT LINES UP WITH THE P/S PUMP , I DON'T KNOW.

THANKS FOR YOUR QUESTION
