My Carter BBD is leaking. I rebuilt it and it runs fine, but after I shut the engine it starts leaking around the throttle shaft. I have taken the thing off twice to readjust the float, each time taking it down a little lower. I've got it way down now, but it still keeps on leaking. I read where the carter is known for wearing out around the throttle shaft. I'm guessing this is what has happened. I have rechecked the little balls, tightened everything down really tight, etc, but no good. So...

Anybody know anything about this company? I'm assuming these are refurbished carbs. What are your thoughts on those?
Or should I replace it with a different one, such as the more expensive Weber? Any other brands you would suggest?
Man, this sucks. I thought I was doing good with my first rebuild. I was so proud of myself. But now I feel like a failure.
