I have a some more questions regarding long rod build..1) how much should be taken off head and deck for 9.3 compression?? 2) I am putting this in a dodge short box..will mounts from 71 duster bolt in?? will I need rear sump pan like V-8 swaps?? thanks again..

One nice thing about the log rod build-up is that you can get increased compression without milling the head or block, it is a matter of selection a piston with the correct dish.
Some genreal compression ratios were outlined in the stroking article, near the end:

As with any "custom" engine assemble, you need to take actual measurments and cc you cylinder head to calculate actual compression.
As for the engine mounts for the truck, I do not know if these are the same as the passenge car mounts, my guess it that they are not the same.

Mounts for the truck are different than a car (at least all the cars I have seen have different mounts). The bonus is that both mounts are the same (same P/N) and from what I have seen are cheaper and have better availability than many car mounts.

NAPA had them up here, around $25 total for both IIRC.

You will need an oil pan and pickup tube for a truck as well.

Have a truck oil pan (6qt front sump) and pick-up assembly from '60 era pick-up. Post back if interested.
