What is recurving the dist.?

Distributor recurving is adjusting the mechinical advance to match the components / up-grades you have made to the engine.
For a SL6 this usually means adding initial advance and reducing the mechanical advance but getting it to come on faster.
Total advance without the vacuum advance should be around 30 to 32 degrees.
