| Post subject: | Wiper Problem |
The driver's side windshield wiper on my '64 Dart stopped working the other day...while I was driving...in the rain. What do I need to do to fix this? I have no idea how to even take the wiper arm off to get a look at what happened. (I'm assuming that the little plastic washers are bad...) Also, should I take this opportunity to replace the bushings as well since I have recently noticed that a small puddle forms near my feet when it rains? As always, it is fair to assume that I know nothing. I would appreciate any guidance that can be offered on this subject. -Josh |

If the motor still runs then your linkage bushings are shot. I would replace them all and definitely use this opportunity to replace the rubber seal around the stem of the wiper. Reed |

Unfortunatly, all of the parts that you need to get to are under the dash. Set aside a large part of a weekend, and be prepared to do alot of dismanteling while standing on your head. Good LucK |

Ugh...sounds like fun. The motor still runs, and just one wiper is not moving, so it looks like I've got quite a project on my hands. Does anyone have a diagram of the wiper assembly? I'm sure that would help me a lot. Thanks. -josh |
