The driver's side windshield wiper on my '64 Dart stopped working the other day...while I was driving...in the rain. What do I need to do to fix this? I have no idea how to even take the wiper arm off to get a look at what happened. (I'm assuming that the little plastic washers are bad...) Also, should I take this opportunity to replace the bushings as well since I have recently noticed that a small puddle forms near my feet when it rains? As always, it is fair to assume that I know nothing. I would appreciate any guidance that can be offered on this subject.

If the motor still runs then your linkage bushings are shot. I would replace them all and definitely use this opportunity to replace the rubber seal around the stem of the wiper.

Unfortunatly, all of the parts that you need to get to are under the dash. Set aside a large part of a weekend, and be prepared to do alot of dismanteling while standing on your head.

Ugh...sounds like fun. The motor still runs, and just one wiper is not moving, so it looks like I've got quite a project on my hands. Does anyone have a diagram of the wiper assembly? I'm sure that would help me a lot. Thanks.
