You'll see by my more recent posts that Aaron and I are moving into the interior of his '74 Sport, now that the front suspension and engine bay are taken care of. We have a very minor amount of pinhole rusting in the driver side floor. Once that is taken care of, we will strip out the interior and paint everything inside. When that is done, should we lay down some type of floor insulation, before putting in new carpet? Doesn't new replacement carpet come with a jute backing? Is that intended to be insulation or just merely padding for softness? Any good sources for floor insulation for this model car? Thanks for your help, Jerry |

i laid down some of that insulation that goes under the carpet in the house.. it's about 1/8 of an inch to 1/4 of an inch thick.. don't get too crazy with it or else your carpet holes won't match up.. it helps.. a little bit |
