| Post subject: | Shifter knob removal |
I have a console automatic shifter from a 70's or 80's Mopar that has me stumped. I'm trying to get the knob off, and there is no obvious way to do it. There is no set screw visible, it won't twist off, nor will the push button twist off. Before I screw something up, does anyone know the secret? |

Burn it off with a torch. :) Actually I'm just guessing the gearshift lever is deeply knurled and the knob was pressed on in a jig. It probably isn't meant to be removed. But then, I havent seen a mopar console before, so if anyone else knows for sure... |
