I can't seem to figure out how to get the bottom portion out and I don't want to break anything. Can somebody please tell me how to do this. Signed, Mopar Rookie |

With the seat flat against the floor, push the bottom of the seat towards the rear of the car and lift up. |

Yup, there's a reinforcing rib on the inside of the seat at the bottom front, you just push on this until you feel the cushion release, then lift up while pushing and the ring will come out of the hook on the floor. You'll see what we mean when you get the seat out. Did you get the back out ok? Usually it's anchored on the bottom by bolts that are only accessible with the bottom cushion removed. Not sure about Darts Valiants etc. but usually there's a loop at either end at the bottom with a bolt through it, and the top is just hooked on to the speaker tray. You remove the two bolts at the bottom, then grip the seat back and slide it upward to remove it. |

It also helps to have a scream fest during this operation. Cause if your back seat is like mine, you will. |

One of the mount hooks on one side of my seat was bent so just pushing on the fron of the seat didn't get it loose. Instead, I used a crowbar (straight end) and placed it between the two hooks so that the end was up against the bar that drops down from the frame through the hooks. While pushing rearward on the bar, lift the seat and it comes right out. |

I finally got it figured out. It was easier than I imagined. I guess knowing what direction to push and pull keeps the veins from popping out of your neck |
