Have the chance to purchase a 63 Polara 2 door hardtop with a dead 318 poly for 1K (rod through block), it is complete except for missing the back glass and the interior is toast due to years of sun exposure. Paint is faded but otherwise dent/accident/rust free and all trim is intact and in good shape.

Is it worth adding to the garage and what would be a fair price to offer? Cannot tell you how many years I have been seeking one of these that has not been cut up and modified into a wanabe Max Wedge. Can you say 440 EFI sleeper!

I know this isn't the answer you are looking for, but a wise man once told me that if you are selling or buying, the item is only worth what someone will sell it for, or the other person will buy it for. And you said, you have been looking for a l-o-n-g time for one in decent shape that hadn't been modified into a wannabe this or wannabe that. But $1k for a car that doesn't run, no back window, and sh...t for interior. . . Another thought is this, a person usually will ask a bit more than they think they can actually get for it. Go in with $800 cash, offer $500, and see what happens. A seller will usually give in when there is green paper involved. Bottom line for me? Yes. Go for it.

Others might disagree, but I think it would be a thing of beauty. I think Bob is right though - cash does talking very well. However, maybe you wanna check what it takes to get that rear window and interior items.

Hey slanted 73 was the back window flat or curved? While it was sitting some punks threw a brick into it, this was about a month ago. As for the interior, I will update to buckets and 3-point belts. Gotta love that front end styling.

I can only find one pic at the moment and it is straight on from the back, and it looks flat. I was concentrating on the dual exhaust. Man I miss her... :(
