Thank you.

Will it require any modifications in order to fit?

No, but you will need the adaptor plate and if the car is an automatic, you will need to make some kick-down linkage.

The reason I am asking is that I am going to have the engine rebuilt. I am looking for more power, of course, and trying to maintain the fuel economy, driveability and reliability.

Do you have any suggestions for a build-up (carb, cam valves etc)
I currently have Dual Clifford headers and a 2 bbl Carter BBD

Given the cars current weight (3200-3300 lbs) is it possible to determine 0-60 times (just curious)
Sorry, I am a picky fellow.

I thank you in advance.

you should check out mopar cams w/ recommended springs. I have a 268/460/110 shaft w/ 340 springs and have gotten 20 mpg loaded w/ trailer and a gross weight of 8000lbs. truck weighs 3800lbs.

Quite a difficult to believe that 20 mpg. Was there downgrade all the way? And is your milemeter accurate?

yes my speedo is off a bit but that is a corrected figure for mileage. The trip was from richmond va, to roanoke rapids nc. steady 60 mph appx 90 miles, believe it. Now please understand that this engine is(was) brand new and well tuned. the mileage around town w/ stop and go is appxc 14 or so depending on how much fun i have.
