I am getting a stock sway bar and the control arms with the sway
bar tabs from a wrecking yard - The end links were not included.
I was told they were easy to purchase new. So I looked over the
web and found a few vendors - but I have no clue how long the
links should be - one book I read said the 64-66 sway bar links
are 10 inches long. Seems long, But is 10" correct? How critical is
the length, would a 9 and 3/4 inch replacement be close enough?

You can always buy a certain size and if they don't fit just use those bushings/cups and buy 2 new bolts of the right length from your local hardware store. Use grade 5 or 8 bolts. 10" sounds long to me, but I'm no authority on stock bars.

Relic, 10" is correct. buy poly.
you can probably find some energy suspension units at the local pep-boyz and do the ol' cut to fit. grab a handful of washers to zero the bar after it's in and you'll be golden.
