How about a set of these on the front end to give the old Slant some help. http://www.ai-online.com/issues/article ... asp?id=359 What a sleeper that would make  . With these you could eliminate the front breaks as well. I can't wait for them to start showing up in junk yards  .Bob D |

Electric brakes are common on heavy equipment and stationary plant machinery. I guess it was only a matter of time beefore they were adapted for autos. Nice. |

This is part of the work that's leading to hybrid and all electric cars. Current hybrids put an electric motor between the engine and transmission. |

The nice thing about the wheel motors is that they would appear be much easier to retrofit than any of the other schemes. It really looks like it would be doable! Bob D |

I read that DC was going to put them in the front hubs of 2wd Dakotas they called it TTR Hybrid (Through The Road) you had on demand 4wd for starting and you could use existing powertrain the v-6 TTR had similar performance to the V-8 2wd. and It wasn't supposed to be that much more expensive than the standard model. It made a lot of sense to me. |

Here's another link for you Bob. http://www.tech-m4.com/eng/tm4transport ... heelmotor/ There's actually a lot of info out there on electronics and some neat pages on homebuilt electric cars. Why not a homebuilt Hybrid car? and what better car than a /6 mopar? I could do so much with the Fury and 2 of those wheel motors.
