I would want to install connecting rods of slant6 198 on my 225 1980.is-this possible one? would I have enough clearance for. 565 lift.? I look for rollers rockers. where do I can about it to buy? otherwise is this I could install rollers rockers of ford (shaft mount)? Thank-you! |

The connecting rod's not gonna swap. The 198 is an earlier forged crank engine and the '80 is a cast crank. They changed in the mid '70's. The rods won't fit because the journal width's changed. |

alot of people will tell you that the rollers are crap and need a oil spray bar while this is a good idea for positive oiling it is not really necessary for street aplications get a cox high vol oil pump and watch the gears every thousand miles for a while if after say 5 thousand miles all is still well its a good gear. Talk to the cox boys they are very knowledgable and will back their product |
