5 cars showed up for the Mo-Kan points race. New to slant 6 racing were John Kimbrough and Audrey Soard. Long distance award went to Dale Rose beating Mike Jeffery's 500 mile tow. Darin Alumbaugh was there for team green. Dale beat John first round, Mike beat Audrey and Darin got the bye because of a .5081 reaction time was better than Dale's .5082 in time runs. Dale puts Darin on the trailer and Mike got the bye. In the final Mike wins over Dale. Mike: dail 12.72, rt .5384, 12.7163 to Dale's 11.67, rt .5328, 11.6614. Looks like Mike gets 41 points, dale 21 points and Darin 11 points. MR. PARKER SAYS NO POINTS,RULES ARE RULES,RULES ARE RULES, RULES ARE RULES and RULES ARE RULES!!!!

I want to thank everyone again for being patient with me and all my questions. The slant 6 is new to me and I have a lot to learn. I had a great time. I made a total of 16 passes(some better than others). I had a great time. Now I need to get to work and make it go faster.

What is the rumor going around that the points at the mokan race will not be given. Anyone want to elaborate on this?

I doint know about the rumor and i was not out there so i am not in the picture. But here is what the rules say.

Races / Events
If for any reason, a Slant 6 race is not held on its scheduled weekend, no points will we awarded for that event.

If it was not held on the scheduled weekend and rescheduled for the next weekend that is a reason for no points to be awarded. The Word is "any reason". Rescheduled is the reason. Rules Are Rules I have to go by them so should everybody should. Thanks Ron Parker

We were unaware of this rule. It would have been common courtesy to Dale and Mike to post this rule when the race was rescheduled due to no ambulance crew available for April 11.
I feel sorry for Dale to travel over 1,500 miles round trip to come to Mo-Kan. He is a stand up guy and it meant a lot to us for him to travel to the race. I guess he appreciated all the times Mike and Team Green have traveled over to your part of the country to attend your events.
I wonder if Dale would have won the race if we would have ever heard of this rule.
-Mark

Team Green We apprecitate your racing team I am sure Mike or Dale was not aware of this rule. And I understand the cost of going to one of the races. But still rules are rules and they are clear. Thanks Ron Parker

I have investigated the origin of that rule. The only thing that keeps me from revealing the sponsor of it is that I am laughing too hard.

Mark, sorry I couldn't make it down there, but the truth was that I killed my travel budget the weekend before buying a truck and trailer.

I fail to see any humor in the rule. Maybe you could enlighten the huddled masses.

With out going in to any blame lets see what happened.
First the race is not a points race by the current rules.
These rules are adopted or changed at the annuial banquit.
This was not a new rule for this season.

Mark made a noble effort to hold this race and he did but the rules were violated.

The sad part of this rule is who sponsered it . Some times you try to do something good and it blows up in your face.

At our banquit at the end of the season we can change or modify the rule but not during the year.

but rules are rules.

I know this not a popular but we need to keep our interigy.

Thanks Ron Parker

If it was a rule before the season started how can there be any blame at all?
Are individual members responsible for "sponsoring" a rule and if so how does that work? :?
