Anyone want to take a guess at what rear end this car has in it?

78 leBaron, 318, 904 or 727 not sure, VIN# FP41G8G105235

It has either a 7&1/4" or 8&3/4" in it, rear cover, not sure of the ratio. Can I use this on my Dart? Would I want to? Anything else I should swipe off the car before it's crushed?

It wouldnt have a 8 3/4(not from the factory, anyway)Most likely has a 8 1/4 but have seen some with a 9 1/4(stop sign shaped). As far as putting it under your Dart ,Im sure it is too wide(positive it is too wide) and has the large bolt pattern and I think that there is some difference in the spring perchs.
I hope this helps.

Hyper nailed it. They're a bit too wide to run with stock rims, however i think that they could accomadate if you had some deep backspacing on aftermarket rims. *hint* *hint*
However, the spring perches would have to be re-welded at a different angle for the pinion angle to be within the proper range and the u-joints to live. Also, i'm not entirely sure, but i think these may have had iso-clamp spring mounting-- that may or may not be an issue when it all comes together.

Isnt the 8&1/4" a front loader, or is that the 8&3/4"?

This one definitely has a rear cover, but it doesnt look octagonal. Any guesses on the ratio?

Only the 8 3/4 is a front loader; The 7 1/4, 8 1/4, 9 1/4 all use rear covers. I have a 'Baron just like that one, and it has an 8 1/4 open, 2.76 gears, and iso-clamp perches (big rubber bisciuts between sping and axle). I'd say it's probably not worth the trouble. Find a 74-up Dart/Valiant for a bolt-in 8 1/4 lbp housing (10 bolt cover, not 9), and look for mid-80's pickups and vans for a set of (very common) 3.55 gears to swap in. The only thing I'd pull off of the 'Baron would be the front spindles and brakes if you need discs on your car.
