Last year I bought a Junk Dart that I had to pull all the parts off of quickly(I couldn't store it at my house so I got it for a week and pulled everything I thought might be remotely useful). Anyway, one of the things I gout was a 2 barrel carb, this engine was a V8 though. I was wondering if it was an equivalent to the carb used on the /6's two barrel carb setup. I ask because I'm wondering because I want to know if I should keep it for my slant six or sell it since I never plan on sticking a 318 in my Dart(at least I think that the most common V8 in the Dart was the 318...). |

A small BBD is a small BBD, the only difference you may notice from the super six to the 318 is the jetting may be slightly richer (not much...), and the choke pull off lever is wrong and won't work with the super six choke, unless you swap the lever from a super six carb (Got Screwdriver?). Since these aren't cheap if bought rebuilt, and sometimes they do wear out I swipe as many as I can to 'frankenstein' good BBD's together from (so far it's taken 4 carbs to make 2 good non leaky BBD's...) -D.Idiot |

A SuperSix setup is suppose to give you 10% more power the a single 1v carbuartor. According to the racing manuals a 318 BBD is worth 5% more HP. Also, according to racing manuals a 383 BBD is worth an addition 5% more HP. Take this for whats this is worth, but I have always used 318 BBDs. |

Cool, thanks. Now another strange question, are you able to convert a 1 barrel manifold to a two barrel? I have an extra lying around and want to do a few things to it anyway(why get a supsix setup when I got a normal one here for free) |

You could buy an adaptor, but it wouldnt flow as well. |
