63 val 2dr.- Blue{later}225 I will assume that w my later blue engine someone utilized the original trans ;considering everyone is saying how difficult it is to adapt a later model trans to the pushbutton?????

The 68 and later SL6 will bolt right up to the pushbutton trans but the nose of the torque converter will not be supported unless you use the special adaptor bushing.

In your case, if the combo is working OK with-out engine vibration, I would not worry about it.

NAPA used to sell the necessary adapter bushing. Not sure if they still do, but they're still available, e.g. from this Ebay seller: http://tinyurl.com/23pwj

As Doc mentions, the '68-up engine will bolt right in place in front of the '67-down automatic trans, but unless the bushing is used, the torque converter nose won't be supported. This places extreme stress on the flexplate, the front pump bushing and the front pump seal, shortening the life of all these components -- even if you don't feel a vibration.

(Hey, Doc, did the parts store come up with a Fram P1651PL trans filter for you?)
