Post subject:  No Pressure--new Dual Pot

I replaced the single pot master cyl. with the dual pot ,now I have no pressure at all. Connot get pressure to build. I bled the new cyl. hooked up the lines opened the right rear bleeder screw began pumping to get fluid moving through system but nothing. Then I closed the screw beganpumping the pedal to build pressure but nothing. No pressure at all. Never had any problems after master cyl. replacement in the past. never done this swap before. Am I missing something?

You mean when you opend up the bleeder and pumped you got no fluid?

Start from the master and work your way backwards. Disconnect the lines from the master cylinder, and push the pedal gently. Does fluid come out of it? (obviously you want to take precaution so fluid doesn't splatter everywhere...)

Btw I'm curious, how'd you reroute the plumbing to accomodate the second reservoir?

Pierre, I did bleed the master cyl. to start, but am thinking on doing what you said. I followed the directions found here on routing of lines. Dicconnect old rear line from junction block, plug hole in block, connect new line from rear -port on master to old rear main line. connect front port to front brake line. There is another thread on this in this section.

rear port on MC goes to the front lines. but that isn't your main problem, you have something else wrong somewhere. but it is a simple hyd system so just debug it one step at a time. you'll find the problem soon enough!

BINGO, patience pays off, along with a little stick-to-it.
