Will 13-inch wheels fit on a 65 with stock 10" drums? What size wheels do the KH discs take?

From what I have read the 4 piston K&H disc setup needs the
14 inch rims. One of my previous cars, a 1970 Duster with
that disc setup had 14" rally wheels from the factory. And I
bought a set of Rallye wheels for my Valiant when I do its
K&H disc conversion.

The 13" rims will fit over the 10" drums.

The KH setup requires 14x4&1/2" J wheels. The J wheel is clearanced for the calipers.

I have a 71 duster that came stock with 9" drums all around, on 14" wheels. Not sure what particular wheels they were but I do know they are deff 14's.

I doubt a KH setup will fit on a 13" wheel because on mine one of the caliper hard lines comes real close to the wheel.

The kelsey hayes/ 13" combination will NOT work. I've been there. When I bought my car it had discbrakes on it ( with the 13", these discs are for sale if you can't find 14"wheels  ) I changed to the 4 piston setup, because I couldn't get parts for my worn calipers, and didn't want to look for other calipers that would fit. But I recomend going with 14" wheels. Get the right tire size (lower) So you don't have to change your speedo gear. If you use other tires you gain mpg and suffer at stoplight takeoff, but I doubt that's noticable.

btw, 13" CAN be made to fit if you use an adapter between the wheel and discs, but that's going hard on your wheelbearings and will your lugnuts still fit? And would you like the wider look?
