I know a guy who will make reproduction hoods out of Carbon fiber, problem is, he wont make the mold for just one buyer. I have a 1970 Dodge Dart with a 340 Scoop setup. See pic below. We can make 2 versions of the hood, one with scoops one without, I personally am opting for for the integrated scoops. Fully functional open scoops to help you car breathe better. This is the last hood you will ever buy for your Dart, I have seen this guy run over a hood with a z71 Chevy and the hood goes back into its natural state, you could wreck your car at the race track, it may get scratched but it will still be in one piece.

So how many of you guys out there would be interested in such an item, this isnt a way to make money, i just wanna know if its worthwhile at this point to even begin the construction phase.

Hey,

I have a 72 Swinger, and I'd love a carbon Fiber hood for it. I don't know what the price might be on such a low production piece, but it would be really cool.

BTW: Not to bash on your comment about the durability of such a hood, but Carbon fiber is strong only on certain axis, and will quite easily shatter, break, and delam if struck or pushed against from certain directions. Carbon fiber is extremely strong for it's weight, but it won't routinely survive a race impact of any considerable force. Lastly, I have seen CF pieces survive some incredible impacts from the right direction. Then again, Playing cards can be stuck in a tree from the force of a twister, and not be bent! There, I've ranted enough. :D
