Talked to Red today, and this is their plan. The have in the works, engine plates for their modular bellhousings, and scatter shields that will fit not only the slant six, but Buick, AMC, Cadilac, Studebaker, Ford Y block, early Mopar Hemis, etc, etc, etc, This means eventually you will be able to put nearly any tranny behind any engine when they are done. They have all the drawings for this, and are just waiting to get their CNC machined programed for each plate. This will solve all our HI PO slant clutch problems. My plan now is to put the cheapest stock clutch I can in my car, take it easy driving for awhile, and put a new TKO Ford Racing T-5 behind a small block flywheel and scatter shield. I am going this route because if I put a really strong clutch between my turbo slant and the 4 cylinder T-5, I feel that the t-5 is going fail. If I don;t break it, I will sell the entire five set up, from flywheel to drive shaft to another lucky stock slant owner at a bargain later. If anyone else is interested in seeing this wonderfull option made available for the slant owners, write, Rroberts@Mcloudind.com. Tell him you are interested in this option, and encourage him to proceed with the slant as soon as possible. This will help us all. Thanks in advance. |

This sounds like a great option for us. Does this put the starter in the "low" V-8 location or will it allow a normal slant location? Thanks, Rick |

It will be in the normal high slant position. His art work for the engine plate has come from the standard slant bellhousing. Let's all send an e-mail and thank them vociferously, and then politely nag him to do ours first.! It's about time someone did something other than small block Ford and Chev. We need to support these guys now. |
