I just bought a 1975 dodge dart swinger, its got a 225 slant six with a 3 speed auto. however the reverse does not work. ideally i would want a manual instead of an auto. is this a feasible switch? if not what can i do to ckeck what is wrong with the auto trans. if it is feasible, where can i find the parts? i live in central new jersey. if anyone knows someone in the area lemme know who i can talk to. any info is greatly appretiated.

Swapping a car over to a manual is a lot of work. Not only do you have to acquire a mile long list of parts, you also have to modify the transmission hump in the car. If you like to shift gears, why don't you get a manually shifted automatic.
