I just picked up a set of sbp rallye wheels for my dart. I'm pretty sure the wheel color should be Argent, but after searching the net I found examples of the center cap being argent and also darker gun metal gray color. What is the original color for the painted area of a SBP Rallye wheel center cap ? thanks ricki |

I believe there are 3 shades of argent silver. I'm not sure of their proper names, but lets just call them light, medium, and dark for sake of this discussion. On the 71 duster twister /6 car a friend had, the rims were light and the center caps were dark. I *think* the medium was only used on grills, but I may be wrong. |

Thanks Pierre for the info. I'll repaint the center caps (excluding the chrome areas) the darker color. The wheels I got are light silver rims and light silver centers. They came of a 69 383-S Barracuda. For the caps I thought it may have been that certain years were certain colors. |

The color should be 'Argent Silver' (Ditzler Code DX8555) and the hub should be 'Light Gray'. This would be for the SBP 'cone' type center cap SBP Rallye (early 70's type). -D.Idiot |
