Last year before I took my car apart I made a couple of passes at Lebanon Valley. Stock everything. 13 in. wheels 185 tires , 904 console shift. 2.76 or 2.94 ( I can't remember) Ran a best of 20.54 |

I was looking at my original timeslip from 2 yrs. ago it ran a 20.54 not a 20.2 as I had originally stated. Anyway I went back last night . Same stock 1 barrel motor. Converted to 4spd OD 3.55 sure grip 8 3/4 14 x225 x 70 rear tires First pass took it easy 20.84 Second pass pushed it a little 19.71 I only had time for 1 more pass so I decided to try and leave at 2200. Lots of tire spin ( may have gotten water from the box) bad shift, coasted home. More aggressive(and better driving) would have been in 18's easy I shifted real early to third on 19.71 run. Try again in June. Noticed the 1 barrel topped out at 3000. I was rocking in my seat the second half of the track to gain momentum. |
