Well it was my first time racing, not the valiants. I went to Jefferson-Pageland Dragway near Monroe, NC. It was the first time I've ever raced on a tree, so i've got a little work to get better at it. It has a 225 with the long rod setup, with 9.3:1 compression, 2bbl supersix conversion, electronic ignition, 2 1/4 exhaust, and the 904 trans has been built really well, she'll even chirp them going into second. I had put a open 2.76 in the rear, but got tired of the noise coming from it, so i put a suregrip 3.23 back in for the racing. I just got a 833od to put in, so now i gotta start collecting the parts to do that install. I went 4 runs on the 1/8th mile at the track. My best time was 11.51 at 59.03 mph. but i had horrible reaction times, my best was .9009. The best part was that i drove 45 minutes to the track, raced 4 times, and drove home on about 6 gallons of gas. I'm gonna try and make it to farmington this year to run. So maybe I'll see you guys there.

Nick

Eddie sez - "Welcome brother!"
Looks like I'll have someone I can beat on the tree!
Just kidding, of course.
If you think the tree is tough, just try it with a clutch!
Actually, it's nice to see another slanter thrown into the pile.
My goal this year is to get a 10 sec run out of Ed before he gets transmogrified.

I'm definently going to try to make farmington this year. I've just got to work on my reaction times and stuff, so i guess i'll keep heading to jefferson-pageland until then.

I REALLY like the look of that car. The aluminum slots, the paintjob, and 4 doors! Awesome!

Thanks, I'm wanting to redo the vinyl graphics sometime, because they are mostly peeling. But getting vinyl done is expensive, so that will be something for later. I also would like to make some door panels for it, because i don't have any right now. but right now she's just my daily driver gas mileage car, and sometimes a weekend racer. I'm going again this friday night to see if i can get myself to be more consistent on the track.
