how much can the bottom end take when it is stock?
has anyone ever tried to push the bottom end to its limits and if so how fast did it go?

The Stock Con rods seem to be the weak link. (good to 300-350 H.P., depending on your luck)

Are there any aftermarket rods that fit? a 198 rod or something similar?

About 5 years ago I had Cunningham Rods build me a set. they were 7.000 long with a Chev small block piston pin dia. Great looking rod BUT back than they were $1000.00 I think some other racer have all so had custom con rods built.
