Which double roller timing chain set, high volume oil pump, fuel pump, and what necessary parts to use a fisher damper? This will be on my daily driver and I want to keep my power steering.Who and where I can get these items from would be a great help. Lastly, off of which A-Body will an 8 1/4 rearend bolt on to my 68 Dart with little or no modification? Thanx to anyone who can help.

An 8.25 rear axle assembly from a 73 - 76 A body will "bolt in" to your 68 Dart. These came in many (but not all) V8 cars. Assuming your Dart has a 7.25 now, your driveshaft will need to be shortened to fit, or get the shaft from the donor car, which MIGHT fit. When I put an 8.25 in my 63 Valiant, I had to use the original parking brake cable housings. I can't remember why the ones from the new rearend would not fit. You may not encounter that problem with your Dart.

I'm using a Mopar Performance double roller timing chain, but I don't think they are available anymore. See the Hot Rod Slant Sickness article for an alternative. You can still get a high volume oil pump from Mopar. I'm using one in my Valiant, but I don't think they are really necessary - the stock one is good for a daily driver or even a mild performance motor.

A stock fuel pump should work fine for a driver. My Valiant has a 4bbl carb and the stock fuel pump - I have no fuel delivery problems at all.

Hope this helps,
