Hi Dan,

Is there a variable speed controller for a high amp electric fan? One that would only turn on the fan as much as needed?

The CHP officer that did my VIN inspection on my Barracuda is an old Pontiac guy, and wants to know.

P.S. I think I sold him on your headlight relays.

Thanks,

Greg

Yep. 30-Amp model (controller w/installation kit), 45-Amp model (controller only).

Do you think the 45 amp one could handle a 50 amp fan? It was some police special fan that he had found.

Thanks,

Greg

I'd be real surprised if his Police Special fan actually draws 50A, even at startup. Flex-A-Lite told me the HD model will handle over 50A peak load but is conservatively "label rated" at 45A.
