: I am using a Fluidampr off a 440 for my race
: car. Also use the front crankshaft seal from
: the big block. Had to make the pulley to
: drive the oil pump. Another racer out here
: uses a ATI damper
: also from a big block. Both work fine for
: racing at RPM's around 6000. The only thing
: I noticed is that the fluid damper you must
: warm up the engine to get the oil warm in
: the damper before it works correctly.

: Just put the new seal in,bolt a pulley on and
: adjust your spacing for the alternator/water
: pump. The new damper (both types) are
: thicker than the stock unit. But well worth
: the effort.
