Im aware that in 1981 the slant 6 recieved a hydralic cam, so are there any changes to these heads that wont allow me to use a 1983 head on my 74 engine? Im thinking that it is direct bolt on but Im not 100% sure of that. Thanks- Michael

You need the valve cover for it and the rear rocker shaft bolt. Other than that, it is a direct interchange.
