Looks like the Roberson's Meet is going to be on:
Saturday July 15th from 10 to 4 at the Salem Riverfront Park.

I will not be "showing" as the meet is downtown and is in a traffic challenged area...*BUT* I will still be putting together the annual slantsix BBQ at my place at Noon for any who want to show up have some "grub" and just throw some ideas around the patio. PM me for directions if needed.

See you there.

Hey Rob,

If nothing interupts our schedule, the Dart should be out of the paint booth and put back together by July 15th. My goal is to attend the meet. I will let you know. I still need to pick up and pay you for the fan blade !! :)

Talk to you soon

Matt

I really wanted to make it, but I got dumped on at work and won't be able to. I will try and make it down for one of the other meets this year though!

Hi Matt, Reed and Rob: After you guys get your bellies full and do all your bench racing, please think about all of you making our last slant6 event at Redding, Calif. on August 26-27. We won't have a BBQ set up but they have great food at the track . We provide liquid refreshment at our trailer and it would be great to meet you and see your "rides". August 26-27 at Redding. Wayne in Chico

Won't be able to make it this year, but that is on my "must do" list, and am trying to make a "slot" in my schedule to come have fun next year.

HI Dan: Redding is one of the best local tracks and has "catered" to the slant6 group. It is very low key being a local track. They give us the premiere shaded area under the big oak trees for parking. They wave the tech and car fees..you just pay the admission fee. We get our own lanes and have fun running as many times as you want. The larger tracks might give you two per day...but at Redding, you will have fun changing tire pressure...taking off the air cleaner to get better times..loosening the fan belt a little...Dr Dodge (Doug) will be there if you want to "squeak" your timing a little or play with your carb setting. We run the stock cars as a group on Sat so it is very competitive for all stock cars also. There will be trophies for the first four places and believe it or not, I won 4th place at the last event with my stock 65' Signet. We need cars to show Redding we are serious about our slant6 sport. Could you please mark August 26-27 on your calendar and be there at Redding. Drop me a email at waynee@dcsi.net when you get time. Also, redding has a good website with photos of some of the previous Inliner/slant6 cars. There website is www.reddingraceway.com. What year slant6 car do you have?

Paul: How are you coming on your two projects? Did you get the 3:23's into one of your cars? See you soon..Wayne in Chico

Sounds awesome!
I am marking the calender!!

I run a daily driver A108 - 1969
I am still having problems with linkage and carb and timing.
It runs well enough to get me and the kids around, but not like I know it should.
Can't wait to meet you guys!
I was in Chico a couple of weeks ago - first time in at least a year.
If everything goes right I should be back over there in a couple of weeks to sign some paperwork for a refinance I am trying to get for my property.
Later,
Dan
