I am getting ready to run the configuration program on the new Accel ECU, and they want to know a fair amount of info that I am not too sure of. I wrote all this stuff down in the rebuild log I was keeping, but I never thought I was going to need this info again once the engine was done and running. Maybe the log will be found in some "SAFE" place. I have learned not to trust my memory for things like that any more. Einstein once said "I never bother memorizing anything I can go look up in a book". That's all well and good, but now where did I put that d---- book!? I think if Einstein had been into slant six cars his motto would have been, " I never memorize anything I can ask about on the forum".

What is the valve size of the Mopar Performance over sized intake valves? Anyone (Duster Idiot?) know what size they are. I think I cc'd the combution chamber at 58CC's,. The head is from a '64 engine. Does that sounds right? I must fill in all the specs on the cam too. I hope I have not misplaced the cam card. It has been in the same drawer for 3 years. I did not deck the block, and seem to remember that the piston comes up to .100" below the block deck. Does that sound right? The program wants to know bore and stroke too, but that is all available from the manuals. Of course this is just a set up for a default set of maps, and can all be tuned out later, but it would be nice to give their program a fighting chance to work. Thanks!
Sam

MP intake is 1.7
MP exhaust is 1.44

that's os valves

.100 of deck height sounds OK, but I'd think that your block has been decked if that's so. Original deck height was a little larger IIRC (give or take a few thousands according to the wide production tolerances and that makes your .100 perfectly sane. )

Sam, my sons 72 block had a deck height of -.140 when we tore it down to do the rebuild. WoW ! I found my book !! Now I wonder where I left my keys.

This engine has Federal Mogul forged pistons. That might account for some of the difference. My guess is your son's engine had a compression ration of somewhere close to 7:1. Minbe speced out to 8.5:1, which I think is what the book states is stock.
