did a bodys use different size pitman arm splines comming off of the steering box?if so what was the year change? there is a manual box on ebay for a 66 abody and i was going to get it but it needs a pitman arm

Interchange groups on steering boxes are as follows:

'62-'72 A-body and B-body are one group, all interchangeable within the group.

'73-up A-body and '62-up C-body are another group, all interchangeable within the group.

so since this is supposed to be off of a 66 and my cars a 75 they will mot interchange, correct? what are the differences?by the way heres the ebay item number 280011155534

The box would bolt up to your K-frame, but the pitman shaft would be too small to accept the pitman arm that's used in your '75 A-body. You may (or may not) be able to use the '68-'72 A-body pitman arm to solve the problem, I'm not sure, but the correct steering box for your application is very easy to find, so it's probably easiest and best just to start with the correct one from the start.

I don't think it'll work since the stud on the pitman arm (for the centerlink) is on the opposite side on the 73+ linkage.
