Post subject: Stand Pipe?

Is a stand pipe on the pump neccessary or beneficial???? It doesn't come on the MP High Volume pump.

The stand pipe is a good think to have. After the engine starts you will have instance oil pressure. The oil can sometimes run out of the filter. All my cars have one. Not sure about the high volume pump. Mopar still sells new stand pipes if you have to get one. They just screw on.
