On the very last ring on the very last piston after what felt like progress. SNAP!! It looks like there was a scratch on the ring right where it broke.

does anyone have a partial set of these around I could get a top compression ring off of? It's a set of Muskegon rings 030 over. PN BC 1322 030

Been there....
Any good parts store can order you a ring set for one cylinder.

The ones I use have a bevel on the top, inner edge. Let us know what style you have.

The top ring in beveled on the top inner edge and the second ring is beveled on the bottom inner edge.
