You trying to remove it from the control arm, or the spindle from the ball joint stud? If your removing it from the control arm, you need a special socket. If your trying to remove the spindle from the ball jount stud, a pickle fork will work(I only like to use them if the ball joint is shot), or do this: Jack the car up, put it on jack stands, and loosen the nut on the ball joint stud. Let the suspension hang, and put the jack under the control arm...Do not let it touch the control arm! Leave about an inch between the jack and control arm. Take a big hammer and beat the snot out of the spindle. It should shock it loose, and the tension on the torsion bar will pull it down, hence the jack under the control arm.

Oh yeah, turn off the caps. Please.

part #23481 works like a charm!
If you plan on owning any more old Mopars you might want the whole set. Makes it much easier!

I didn't have the funding for the socket so I got the biggest "crescent" wrench I could borrow. Just big enough, worked good. Took a while to unscrew it, clean it good first.

I was able to use a loaner ball joint remover set, looks like a to prong pulley remover. The left side it worked like a charm, but on the right it bent the upper ball joint, a $60 oh *#%$.

Did this ball joint remover press out the ball joint, or unscrew it?

That is correct. That is why I asked. If you had used one of those ball joint presses, and tried to press the ball joint out of the arm, that would ruin the arm.
