Tried to find this plug but with no luck.
I was offered NGK's with letters A, E, F, J and K but no N was in the books.
The only thing the finnish autopart-shops knew to tell me about the N is that it stands for "special side-electrode".
And that if there is a "-11" after the code it means the gap is 1,1 millimeter.
So is there a "second best" alternative to the ZFR5N?

NGK stock number for ZFR5N is 3459, at least in the USA. But, really, NGK makes this spark plug in Japan on the same lines as the rest of their plugs, so all you have to do is find an NGK supplier willing to order it for you, if they don't stock it.

May also try by application - 1994 Dodge Intrepid 3.5L

Autolite 985 is the ZFR5N equivalent but NGK is the preferd brand apparently. Parts store here had to special order them - and had to cross reference ZFR5N to the 3459 using the NGK book.

He's in Finland, no Dodge Intrepids there. But a 1997 Chrysler Vision 3.5 should be on the books, and a 2000 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 will definitely be on the books, and both of those applications use the ZFR5N plug.

They didn't find it anyway with the additional info.
In their books the 4.0 litre Cherokee info stops at 1998 and both the Cherokee and the Chrysler Vision 3.5 litre 1994 and onward, states that it is a NGK FR5-1.
Also the Autolite 985 equals NGK ZF4A-11.

This sucks...

I asked the ngk guy here in Norway, and I am waiting for his reply...

If you can´t find them anywhere, I can put some in the mail for you,
if he has them, that is...

If all else fails you can get a set of Autolite 985's (even though the NGK plugs are better). You will still get the advantage of the extended nose plug.

I have a set of 985's in my Duster. They don't foul out like the champions use to. I guess that extended nose gets the firing tip away from the "dead spot" in the combustion chamber.

As I wrote before, the finnish charts state that the Autolite 985 equals NGK ZF4A-11 and not 5.
So what gives, are the finnish charts wrong and the 985's equals a 5 after all?

You've got BOTH numbers for the correct spark plug in your hand. ZFR5N, and 3459. If you are encountering lazy parts sellers who do not want to cooperate with you, call up the NGK distributorship in your country and go from there. That will be much more productive than worrying about whether there's a misprint in the books.

The sellers are not lazy, it's just that these numbers don't exist in the finnish charts and therefor I've tried to get more info from you.
The question why the ZFR5N's don't show in them is going to be phoned to NGK supplier on monday, so hopefully I will have more knowledge tomorrow.

Besides my 1963 Dodge Dart, my daughter owns a 1990 Jeep Cherokee. I found the plugs at the Kragen Auto Parts site. Which is actually partsamerica

The Norwegian ngk distributor replied today, and said that part number is only sold by chrysler dealers...

Well, I dunno, but I am going to ask them...

Buy a large quantity of them from www.rockauto.com , who ship internationally, and you'll be all set for years.

Ok, thanks SlantSixDan, and all others too, for the info.

12 pcs from RockAuto to Finland by Global Priority Mail $47.88
24 pcs $80.46

If my supplier doesn't find the V-power plugs I'll buy them from RockAuto.
